Our client is a leading engineering and manufacturing firm with operations across the UK, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. They specialise in the design, production, and commissioning of modular, containerised, and mobile water and wastewater treatment systems.
As part of their continued UK expansion, they are seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of modular treatment projects nationwide.
Role Summary
As Project Engineer, you will support the delivery of modular water and wastewater treatment systems across the UK. You will oversee site activities, coordinate with UAE-based design and fabrication teams, and ensure timely, safe, and compliant project execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the installation and commissioning of modular treatment systems at project sites across the UK.
• Liaise with UAE engineering and fabrication teams to ensure design intent and technical specifications are met.
• Coordinate subcontractors and technical staff, provided through UK labour supply partners.
• Conduct site inspections and risk assessments, ensuring full compliance with UK HSE regulations.
• Prepare project documentation including method statements, progress reports, and commissioning records.
• Support the integration of modular systems with existing infrastructure at client facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning phases.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in water or wastewater treatment projects, or industrial plant engineering.
- Strong technical understanding of modular and containerised systems.
- Familiarity with UK construction and environmental standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and occasionally to the UAE.
Desirable:
- Experience collaborating with international teams or overseas fabrication partners.
- Working knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems and instrumentation.
- CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification.
