About This Talent Pool
We are building a dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) Talent Pool for upcoming opportunities across the UK in early 2026.

Role Overview
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support nursing and clinical teams to deliver safe, high-quality care to patients. You’ll work under the supervision of registered nurses in settings such as:
- NHS or private hospitals
- Nursing homes
- Clinical wards
- GP surgeries
- Community health teams
- Rehabilitation or step-down units
Your role will focus on patient comfort, clinical support and maintaining high standards of care at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, hygiene)
- Assist with patient mobility, repositioning & use of equipment
- Take and record basic health observations (e.g. blood pressure, respirations, temperature, pulse etc)
- Support nursing teams in monitoring patient wellbeing
- Assist with infection control, cleaning and equipment preparation
- Help with meals, hydration and nutritional support
- Maintain accurate patient notes and documentation
- Support patient comfort, dignity and emotional wellbeing
- Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges
- Follow clinical protocols, safeguarding procedures & health & safety guidelines
Key Skills & Experience
We are looking for Healthcare Assistants who have:
- Previous experience as an HCA in hospitals, nursing homes or clinical settings
- Ability to take and record clinical observations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of infection control & basic clinical procedures
- A calm, compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Reliability and commitment to delivering high-quality care
- Good awareness of safeguarding and professional boundaries
Desirable (not essential as some roles will provide training):
- Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2/3
- Experience in acute, elderly or specialist wards
- Manual handling & basic life support training
